Choosing The Right Lighthouse Wind Chime

The lighthouse is one of the most collected symbols in the United States. Everyone loves lighthouses, so it would stand to reason that many companies would create a lighthouse wind chime for these collectors. A lighthouse wind chime can be big or small, metal or glass, and comes in as many colors as an individual can think of. They can be brought from online retailers, home décor stores, or you can make your own from supplies from a craft store.

Finding the right lighthouse wind chime for you is not difficult. A wooden or metal lighthouse could be used as the clapper for the wind chime or lighthouses could be etched on the metal chimes themselves. They can be created by a master craftsman with hundred of works to their credit or they could be the first attempt of someone who would like to create things with their hands. The right lighthouse wind chime for you will depend on your personality and what you consider attractive.

Feature One: Size

Size is important when choosing a lighthouse wind chime. You do not want it to be so big that it seems like a monstrosity, nor do you want it to be so small that it goes unnoticed. The best course of action is to measure the area you would like to place the lighthouse wind chime in and take those measurements with you while shopping. Something that looks small in a store may seem a lot bigger once it is in an enclosed area.

Feature Two: Color

Another thing to take into account is the color of the lighthouse wind chime. You do not want a copper wind chime if everything surrounding it is steel. Nor would you like an orange lighthouse nestled against a blue house. Carefully consider what the lighthouse wind chime would look like in the area you would like to place it in. If you have trouble imagining it in your head, try taking a picture of the area with you while you shop.

Feature Three: Price

The last thing to consider when choosing a lighthouse wind chime is price. The prices for wind chimes can range anywhere from $10 to $500 dollars. You do not want the expensive work of a master craftsman hanging unprotected from the side of the house, and you may not want something that looks like a kindergartner created it hanging over expensive patio furniture. The lighthouse wind chime should reflect your personal style. That is the only way that it will bring you enjoyment.
